Enclosures\Enclosures, Boxes, & Cases 1557 Type 4X Enclosures & Accessories Hammond Manufacturing 1557 Type 4X Enclosures feature rounded corners and edges to provide a more modern look while still offering superior watertight ratings. These enclosures can be used in a tabletop configuration or two different wall-mount configurations. They are ideally suited for mounting printed circuit boards or DIN rail-mounted components. Hammond Manufacturing 1557 Type 4X Enclosures are available in black or gray UL-listed polycarbonate or ABS plastic. The polycarbonate versions are UV-stabilized for indoor or outdoor use and carry a UL94-5VA flammability rating. The ABS versions are molded from a general-purpose material with a UL94-HB flammability rating that is for indoor use. A gasket lid with two-piece "tongue and groove" construction protects against oil, dust, and water.
